Our Vision
It is the vision of our Safeguard the Children Committee to commit ourselves to achieve and create a safe environment for the children and address children’s safety in our parish/school community now and in the future. -
Requirements
All clergy, paid parish/school personnel and all adult volunteers who have regular contact with students/minors, including coaches, parents/guardians, people assisting in classrooms, and others must be fingerprinted for the Archdioces of Los Angeles before beginning their volunteer work or assignment (being fingerprinted for any other entity is not sufficient). If you have previously been fingerprinted for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, you have completed this requirement.

Fingerprinting
Fingerprinting at the Archdiocese: Fingerprinting is available by appointment atArchdiocese Catholic Center located at 3424 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles CA 90010on most Wednesdays - between 9:30 am – 12:00 pm & 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.Please email Fingerprinting Department fin[email protected] (walk-ins are limited).Please check the Fingerprinting calendars regularly.
These calendars are updated on an ongoing basis and appointments fill up quickly. -
VIRTUS - Protecting God's Children Training
Begin Registration Process
- To register for a Virtus Session click Virtus – Begin the Registration Process: Click “View a list of sessions” for upcoming VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children and Keeping the Promise Alive sessions.
- Click on “Select your Organization” to view a drop-down menu.
- Scroll down to “Los Angeles” to view sessions listed by the five Pastoral Regions.
- Clicking “Select” will show you a list of upcoming sessions by location and date.
- If a session is only for the parish or school, please select another session.

Guidelines Acknowledgment Form
A Guidelines Acknowledgment Form is required to be signed annually.
